Visit Liguria Using Electric Bikes
Liguria boasts a network of paths perfect for hikers and trekkers. Some of its most famous and appreciated areas have a well-constructed and perfect network of itineraries for those who want to walk or cycle through them. An example are the paths that are located Cinque Terre with the High Way of the Ligurian Mountains.
One of the best ways to appreciate all this is to visit Liguria using electric bikes. The electric bike extends to many categories of people the advantages of the bike, making it more accessible to the older and less trained routes with some climbs, and allowing you to make the journey last longer.
With the electric bike you can go much further, optimizing the travel or vacation times that are often really with the minutes counted and you can enjoy the landscape and the beauty it offers less tired, while continuing to move in a very ecological way, in close contact with nature and still being able to make healthy movement, since the assisted pedaling is used to overcome particularly challenging stretches or to increase the speed.
And for this reason we propose some special itineraries to be taken into consideration. An excellent choice, in fact, is to visit Liguria using electric bikes, since the particular conformation of the territory, which makes it such a beautiful and special region is very impervious, tending to steep. In short, we are talking about villages climbing on rocky slopes overlooking the sea, terraces dug into the side of the hills with the effort of hardworking men over the centuries, beautiful views that lead to get lost with the intense blue of the sea until you confuse the waters with the sky on the horizon.
All this obviously implies a certain effort to reach the top of the most picturesque places. The Cinque Terre are famous all over the world for their landscape climbing on the sea that shows how human activity can be perfectly embedded in an apparently impervious nature, living in perfect balance and symbiosis between sea and mountain. Visiting Liguria using an electric bike allows you to discover a small great world at every turn, at every climb, seeing ancient buildings of great value often emerge suddenly surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub.
There are two CAI paths that can also be travelled by bike in the Levante Ligure: the Alta Via delle Cinque Terre, which follows the route of an ancient mule track between the Cinque Terre and the Val di Vara and joins up with the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, a very articulated and complex excursion route that actually embraces Liguria, Tuscany, Piedmont and Emilia Romagna for over 400 kilometres.
The second most important path of the Cinque Terre is the path number 2, also known as the Blue Path, which in a stroke takes its name from the so-called “Way of Love” for the picturesque and particularly romantic views. It is a very famous path that connects Levanto to Porto Venere through all five villages of the Cinque Terre Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore. To cross this path you pay a daily ticket of 5 euros on foot or by bike, or you can buy the Park Card that combines access to the Park of the Cinque Terre with the use of regional trains that connect La Spezia with Levanto and that costs 12 euros per day.
